Well, lemme start by saying: if you like the looks of this NY Designer Print lightweight cotton, stop reading right now and let your fingers do the walking to its online home at Mood Fabrics, because it’s almost sold out. And it’s SO. PERFECT.
Are you still here? OH GOODY. I mean, I do hope you grabbed some of this heaven for yourself, but I’d really love to holler at you about my dress.
Yay for light & shadows giving me bullet bra! Pinky swear, I did not make the girls pointy.
This is about 4 yards of summer maxi, another patternless drape job. At 56″ wide, it provided that ever enticing opportunity to throw fabric at the form and see what happens. Draping Sans Quaking. After all, if something goes wrong, one can always morph that much maxi into something wearable. Minidress, anyone?
I am EXCEEDINGLY proud of the print matching going on here! I’M TALKING SKYSCRAPER LEVELS OF DELICIOUS SUPERBRAT PRIDE!
My photographer didn’t quite understand the need to capture this sinful aspect, he explained to me later that he was concentrating on getting that blue swath in the shot. An admittedly cool blue swath, but can I get a witness for the five paneled floor length skirt? The gathered straps? The six piece draped, fully lined bust? No really… scroll back up and look squint at that bust…
I’ll try to get some dressform shots up on my blog later this week, but for now this paisley gal is due for a wash, as she frolicked in the 85 degree heat all day yesterday. Would that the blue swath were a swimming pool!
