During the cool weather months, leggings are a go to fashion staple for me. Its a no-brainer because of how easy they pair with ankle boots and tuck into tall boots. For this occasion, I was looking for a dressier look. I decided to create a pair of stretch faux leather leggings using this Black Stretch DTY Pleather from Mood Fabrics.com.
For constructing thsese, I found that a ball point needle and a teflon foot worked perfectly. I used McCall’s 6404 leggings pattern, view C. I tapered the leg down to a 10″ opening and used invisible zippers on the outer seam and I added 3″ to the length.
Since these leggings are close-fitting like workout tights, I thought they would look best with a tunic. I decided to go with this Forest Green Silk Double Georgette from Haute Hippie. It was the perfect fabric for Simplicity 1064.
