Wax On, Wax ON.

Big surprise! I’m back in wax print.

I really can’t help myself. And unlike my previous self-imposed ban on Jersey Knits and All Things Sui, this obsession is being given a free pass. Order Wax Print At Will!

Especially considering you get SIX YARDS IN ONE CUT. Have I mentioned that before? Am I repeating myself? Forgive me. I want to shout about the glories of wax print from the rooftops. Let me be your enabler.

This print was especially fun to play with– as I was cutting the bodice of this pattern, it occurred to me that I could follow the curves of the print and create scallops (details on that over on my blog very soon). This baby is out of stock at the moment–but I’ve found that many prints come back in stock if you’re patient. And if you’re itching to play with shapes, try this beauty. Ooooh or this one!

*runs to cart to get them for herself*

That’s all I have. I must go dance about now, for it is Friday, and the end of a long and crazy week, and there is cleaning and organizing and most of all, SEWING to do! I’ve got like 86 yards of wax print waiting. I’m not exaggerating. Happy weekend, y’all!

Looove how you used scallops on the neckline and sleeve hems. Genius beauty. I have 2 wax prints in my summer “must sew” lineup.
