Watercolor Floral Cotton Sateen

Supersize Me!

Maybe it’s just me but on January 2, I was craving an oversized shirt to hide my holiday indulgences…. and when I’m in the ugly state of mind, the one fabric I turn to is silk. This Famous Designer Black and Off-White Animal Print Crepe de Chine was the perfect antidote for my post holiday doldrums. I feel better already! My pattern of choice was Simplicity 2447 and it wasn’t just oversized, it was supersized! In a Colorful Mood: Technicolor Lace Skirt

This month I was in such a colorful mood. When challenged by the Mood Sewing Network to sew with lace, I found myself gravitating towards this bright, textural orange lace with its organic pattern of swirling leaves and flowers, from Mood Fabrics. I really wanted to have some fun with color by pairing the orange with an equally vibrant hue.
