This embroidered mesh from Alice + Olivia was love at first sight. When I get my hands on a fabric like this, my tendency is to go for the gold and try to make something ridiculously complicated, meant for full-on party mode. I’m glad I reigned myself in on this one, because this fabric is a garden party right off the bolt. And ridiculously complicated, even for a simple self-drafted top like this! I think I look smug here. I know I FEEL smug here. I’m grinning like the cat that ate the canary all throughout these photos, and I don’t care. Just a few short days ago, I was certain I’d completely wrecked this Alice + Olivia sweater knit, found on the top floor of Mood Fabric’s NY location. Chunky Sweater Cardigan

I hate knitting. I admire those of you with the patience to do it, but, as Ruggy often reminds me, I have zero patience. INDEED, SIR!
