More About Becoming a Mood Sewing Network Blogger

Hi, and welcome to the Mood Sewing Network! We hope you like what you see and will come back often. The great thing about these nine bloggers is that they’re all very different from each other in their tastes, styles and sewing levels, so we feel pretty confident that you’ll find one or more bloggers who match your own sewing perspective.

At some point in the future we plan on expanding the network beyond the nine women chosen for the launch. In fact, we’ve already gotten some emails and phone calls about becoming a Mood Sewing Network blogger. So you know, these are the qualities we look for in a sewing blogger:

– A track record of blogging, with an established or growing following
– A true passion for sewing, and a commitment to sewing and blogging on a regular basis
– The ability to write well and have a unique point of view
– The ability to take interesting photos that clearly show your work
– A willingness to sew all different types of garments
– An eagerness to sew different types of fabrics and try new or advanced sewing techniques
– Most important, you come across as someone we’d like to know in real life

If you think we might not be aware of your sewing blog and you’d like us to follow you, please send an email to with “follow me” in the subject line.

Back soon with a post about the leather blouson I just made. Happy sewing!

Is this going to be something you’ll keep choosing bloggers for from time to time? I’d love to be considered for something like this, but I’m just about to start sewing my wedding dress, so I know I wouldn’t be able to participate for several months! I’ll definitely keep following this in the meantime, though.

You’ve chosen some of my favorite bloggers! Great choices, and I, too, would like to see what they would each do with the same fabric. This is such a great idea, I’ll be checking in often. It’s also great business, I haven’t shopped from Mood Fabrics in the past, but I’ll be shopping now!

I’ve often wondered, as I’ve sat watching “Project Runway,” why no one has thought of tapping into the unlimited market of remarkable and talented sewers/designers out there. Well, here is the opportunity…FINALLY ! ! ! Thanks to Mood. I’ve got so many ideas and I’m first and foremost an avid sewer who has made everything from formals to wedding dresses, baby togs to fashionable teen outfits, tailored jackets to simple slinky knit tops, home dec to crafts, etc., etc., etc…. Oh how I’d love to be chosen to be a Mood sewer/blogger….all that beautiful fabric to choose from to make one of my dream ideas come true. The only problem is that I’m so techno stupid that I don’t know how to do a blog and if I did, who would follow an old fuddy duddy like me? So, I guess I’ll never make the cut. By the way, how do I find the e-mail address for Mood????

I’d love to be a Mood Sewing Network member, if you ever consider opening the doors to more – and if you’d consider shipping to the UK! It’s certainly generated a lot of interest.
